Personification in "Lodge" by Robert Frost

  1. Can the rain realy talk to the wind? Can the wind realy listen to the rain? Can the flowers realy kneel? No the rain can't talk to the wind because it dosent have a mouth. No the wind can't listen to the rain because the wind dont have ears. Flowers can't kneel because it don't have knees.
  2. What are some of the effects that the tool of personification brings to his poem? It brings the reader a picture and more understanding.
  3. If the rain and wind and flowers were real people, how would one describe the event that is occuring? the rain and wind are bullying the flower, and the flower feels sad.
  4. If the flowers were real people, how do they fell after the wind and the rain "smote" the garden bed"? It feels sad and it gets all ugly and petals are mostly gone.
  5. Speculate on why the speaker of the poem empathizes with the flowers? I think is because the flower is really sensitive.
